Many soccer games in West Thuringia stop this weekend. This affects all men teams in the area. The reason is a strike by the referees. They protest against violence on the sports field.
Last Sunday a bad incident happened. A player from FC Eisenach hit a line-referee. The line-referee is still underage. He had injuries on his chest.
An ambulance came to the field. The game stopped immediately. The referee committee says: Violence increases more and more. Words do not help anymore.
